Meet our latest robot, the R13C Mercury. Named after the Roman god of commerce, our robot provides an effective solution to the tasks given to our company by BEST, Inc. Coded with Mathworks Simulink software, it is fast, efficient, and practical.
BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology) is a national robotics competition in the United States held each fall, designed to help interest middle school and high school students in possible engineering careers. This year, for BEST’s 30th anniversary, the challenge is amplified as students will need to design a robot that can effectively build and control another robot in a warehouse environment.

Derive requirements from official game rules, the Q & A, and the Generic Kit Usage Guide
Brainstorm, prototype, perform alternatives analysis, and finalize the design
Model the design in Computer Aided Design (CAD) using Fusion 360, then 3D print parts and make initial CNC cuts
Make final precision CNC cuts, complete robot assembly, and program the robot
Test at each step of the engineering process from design to production
Make modifications based on game day performance and market the robot
